A dedicated centre for Tai studies
The Institute of Tai Studies & Research was registered as an autonomous academic society under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Registration No. 256/04 of 1997–98). From Moranhat in Assam, the Institute developed an integrated programme of teaching, research, documentation, publication and cultural engagement.
Growth through scholarship
Since the early 2000s, ITSAR has organised national seminars, manuscript-learning programmes, language courses, research methodology workshops, memorial lectures and collaborative projects supported by academic and cultural bodies. Its publications and translated manuscript editions extend access to Tai history and knowledge.
Silver Jubilee
The Institute commemorated its Silver Jubilee through academic and cultural activities, celebrating more than twenty-five years of service to scholarship and community heritage.
